Colour memory – remember the colours

Watch the colours light up and play the same tune, then tap them back in the right order. Each round adds one more colour – how long a sequence can you remember?

Round: 0 Best:

How to play

Colour memory is a friendly version of the classic "Simon" game. When you press Start, one of the four colour pads lights up and plays a note. Your job is to tap the same pad. For every round you clear, the game adds one more colour to the end of the sequence, so you have to remember a longer and longer chain of colours and sounds.

The whole game is built for small hands and touch screens: the pads are big and easy to hit, and every colour has its own clear tone so children can learn to recognise the pattern by ear as well as by sight. If you tap the wrong colour the round ends, and the game shows how long a sequence you managed – then you can try again straight away.

Your longest sequence is saved locally in the browser as a personal record, so there is always something to beat next time. The game makes its sounds directly in the browser without any files or downloads, and it works completely offline once the page has loaded.
