How to play

Minesweeper is a classic logic puzzle. A grid hides a fixed number of mines, and your job is to open every square that is not a mine. When you open a safe square it shows a number between 1 and 8 – the count of mines in the eight squares around it. Open a square with no neighbouring mines and the whole surrounding area clears automatically. Your very first click is always safe: the mines are placed only after it.

Use the numbers to reason your way forward. If a "1" touches exactly one unopened square, that square must be the mine – mark it with a flag. On desktop you open squares with a left click and place a flag with a right click. On a phone there is no right click, so use the pick/flag button above the board to switch between digging and flagging, then simply tap the squares.

Three levels are available: Easy (9×9 with 10 mines), Medium (16×16 with 40 mines) and Hard (16×30 with 99 mines). The timer starts on your first click, and your best time per level is saved locally in your browser. There is no login and nothing is sent anywhere – it is just you against the clock.
