Count money – Swedish coins and notes
A cheerful game where children practise Swedish money: the coins 1, 2, 5 and 10 kronor and the notes 20 up to 1000 kronor. Add up how much money is shown, or pay an exact amount by tapping the right coins and notes. Three levels make it easy to start and fun to grow.
How to play
This game lets children practise real Swedish money in a playful way. It has two modes. In How much is it? a handful of coins and notes is shown and the child adds them up and picks the right total from four big buttons. In Pay the amount a price is shown and the child taps coins and notes until the selected sum matches, then presses Pay. Each round has ten questions and ends with a score and up to three stars.
Swedish money uses the krona (kr). The coins are 1, 2, 5 and 10 kronor and the notes are 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 kronor. In the game the coins are shown as round golden discs and the notes as coloured rectangles, just like real notes have their own colours. Three levels grow with the child: Easy uses only small coins, Medium goes up to 100 kronor with the smaller notes, and Hard uses every coin and note up to 1000 kronor.
Counting money is great everyday maths: children practise adding, place value and giving exact change without any pressure. A good tip is to start with the biggest notes and coins and count down, which is exactly how you would pay in a shop. Your best score per level is saved locally in the browser, so children can try again and beat their own record – free and with no account.
