Sokoban – the warehouse puzzle
Push every box onto a target. You can only push, never pull, and only one box at a time – so one careless push into a corner can lock the level. 40 brand-new levels from easy to really tricky, each one checked by a solver so you can compare your moves with the best possible solution.

How to play
You are the warehouse keeper in blue. Walk around the warehouse and push the boxes onto the marked targets – when every box stands on a target (and turns green) the level is solved. You move one square at a time up, down, left or right. Walking into a box pushes it one square, but only if the square behind it is free: you can never pull a box and never push two boxes at once. Swipe on the board, tap a square to walk there by the shortest route, or use the on-screen arrows or the keyboard (arrow keys or WASD).
The challenge is to plan ahead. A box pushed into a corner can never be moved out again, and a box pushed against a wall can only slide along that wall – if there is no target along it, the level is lost. Undo takes back as many moves as you like and Restart puts the level back to the start. All 40 levels were made for this site and checked with a computer solver that found the lowest possible number of moves. You earn three stars by matching that number, two stars by getting close and one star for solving the level at all.
Sokoban was created in Japan in the early 1980s, and the name means warehouse keeper in Japanese. The puzzle is famous in computer science because solving Sokoban levels in general is provably very hard (PSPACE-complete), which makes it a classic test problem for search algorithms.
