Typing test – how fast do you type?
Type the Swedish text as quickly and accurately as you can. Each letter turns green when it is right and red when it is wrong, and you get your speed in words per minute (WPM) together with your accuracy.
The text is in Swedish – just start typing in the box and the timer starts on your first keystroke.
How to play
The typing test measures how quickly and accurately you can type on a keyboard. A short Swedish text is shown at the top, and you simply type it into the box below. Every character is checked as you go: it turns green when it matches the text and red when it does not, so you always see exactly where you are and whether you have made a mistake.
Choose between two modes. In Whole text you type the entire passage and the clock counts up until you are finished. In 30 seconds you type as much as you can before time runs out. When the test ends you get your result in words per minute (WPM), where one word is counted as five characters, along with your accuracy as a percentage and the number of characters per minute.
Your best WPM is saved locally in your browser for each mode, so you can keep trying to beat your own record. Note that the text stays in Swedish in every language, since the point is to practise typing the letters å, ä and ö as well. The test works just as well on a phone – tap the box, the keyboard opens and you are ready to go.
